When you register a student for classes, we collect:
- Parent or guardian name, email address, and phone number
- Student name, Year and Month of birth
- Emergency Contact information
- Any special needs or accomodations that you choose to disclose
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe, we never store your card number)
Why we collect it
We collect this information to:
- Process class registrations and payments
- Send you registration confirmations and class reminders
- Contact you in case of emergency or class changes
- Maintain class rosters for instructors
We collect only what is necessary. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We share information with:
- Stripe (payment processing) — your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe and governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We receive a transaction record but not your full card number.
- Instructors — class rosters (student names and relevant notes) are shared with teaching staff to deliver the program.
We do not share your information with any other third parties.
How we protect it
Your information is stored in a secure WordPress database on our hosting provider. Payments are handled by Stripe using industry-standard encryption. We take reasonable precautions to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
How long we keep it
We retain registration records for a reasonable period to support refunds, reporting, and program planning. If you would like your information removed, contact us and we will delete it unless we are required to retain it by law.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for non-essential communications (e.g., unsubscribe from emails)
- Request deletion of your information
